Real measurement
The product to measure is porous and therefor permeable from all sides. These properties is related to the product thickness, without countermeasures it leads to an unwanted air leakage. Different surface properties do also highly affect the measurement results as a uncontrolled air leakage.
Measurement principle AP3N
By using a pneumatic guard, the problems described above can be solved. A concentric ring chamber is used, where the same pressure as under the measurement area is created. Because there is no flow in equal pressure relations, the ring chamber takes all unwanted air leakage.
